UK's Cameron in Jamaica, turns nose up at slavery reparations, offers aid package

David Cameron on first official trip of a UK Head of Government to Jamaica this week put approximately $500 million in aid packages to the former British Colony. Home of the Maroons, thousands of runaway slaves who escaped to the hills of Jamaica during the slavery period and where sentiments run high for reparations from the Europe for its role in the Slave Trade were rejected by Cameron.
